Christina is an academic tutor, professor/teacher, audition coach, and dialect coach.

Theater
Christina has taught Theatre History I, Audition Technique, Theatre Appreciation and directed Theatre Production-Anton Chekhov's THE SNEEZE as an adjunct professor at the University of Alaska Southeast in Juneau.
She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
Christina worked as Education Associate at Perseverance Theatre coordinating a Shakespeare-in-Schools HAMLET teaching-artist program. She directed six teenage girls in a moving STEEL MAGNOLIAS and guided the Young Company in collaboratively writing and performing an original play, A FISH OUT OF WATER.
She has coached high-school seniors on their audition monologues for placement in college programs such as Nebraska Wesleyan University and St. Olaf College.
Voice, Dialects & Public Speaking
Christina hosted NPR's All Things Considered on KTOO from 2016-18. She enjoys coaching adult actors and youth in small groups or one-on-one in voice and dialects.
Christina has coached large casts (CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF, The 99 STEPS, WEST SIDE STORY, CASABLANCA) in mainstage productions at Perseverance Theatre, the Orpheus Project and for Juneau Lyric Opera and also a Juneau mayoral candidate! Her methods are based on Cecily Berry's work with the RSC, Kristin Linklater, Fitzmaurice Voicework, Alexander Technique, Lamperti's Vocal Wisdom, and Knight-Thompson Experiencing Speech and Experiencing Accents. Christina utilizes the International Phonetic Alphabet and promotes listening to recordings of authentic regional speakers as much as possible.
Math/English
Christina holds a Masters in Teaching-Secondary Education in English and Theatre from the University of Alaska Southeast which she gleaned in tandem alongside a 9-month practicum in Drama and 11th grade/12th grade AP English at Thunder Mountain High School in Juneau.

Christina has successfully tutored content and test-taking strategies to students preparing for the Math SAT through Stanford Coaching in NYC.

She has classroom experience as a 10th grade Special Education English Resource Teacher with multicultural and diversely abled populations.

Christina has taken Beginning and Intermediate workshops in Peter Levine's Somatic Experiencing focusing on freeing the body of stuck trauma.
Christina has worked as a Graduation Coach for Juneau School District's HOMEBRIDGE and continues to tutor young people (6-12 grade) in reading, creative writing and math while paying special attention to the whole student.
