Testimonials

Christina's perceptiveness and empathy enabled her to both assess what I was trying for in my monologue work and also how best to help me get there. Her understanding of human nature is nuanced, and she was able to convey her depth of knowledge of acting technique and motivations with clarity, humor, and respect.

I had Christina Apathy as an acting/audition teacher in college. Before taking her class, I had an audition block. I would be so nervous that I would psych myself out completely. After taking her class, I was able to approach auditions in a healthy way, and I credit Christina with that entirely.

Christina approaches teaching in an open and trustful way. She creates a vulnerable yet safe atmosphere for the learning process. She knows how to connect with people and give feedback that helps them improve in their art.

One moment that stuck with me was when she took time outside of class to help me with my test anxiety. I told her that I was stressed about an upcoming test in a completely different class, and she sat down with me and gave me tools to physically relax and get my anxiety under control. No other teacher would do that, especially for something that didn’t have to do with their own class.

Christina is patient and passionate about theatre. It shines through in her teaching. She wants her students to succeed and they often do under her guidance.

Christina was amazing. She was willing to be flexible and she understood if I was tired or feeling bad. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs tutoring.

My coaching sessions with Christina were incredibly helpful in preparing for college auditions. She guided me through the process of developing my pieces and helped me discover ways to make them my own. One of the people I auditioned for even mentioned that he appreciated how much my personality came through in my monologues! I highly recommend working with Christina, both if you want to start a piece from scratch or bring new life to something you already know.

I first worked with Christina to strengthen my voice for public speaking. She taught me that my entire body and breath are instruments with great influence on my voice. Christina met me with generosity, patience, and great care.

I learned how to train and use my breath and body, enhancing the power and intention of my voice in daily life. The breath is a powerful tool, and thanks to Christina, I now breathe better than ever.
